Obituary of Beverly J. Long-Galloway

Beverly J. Long-Galloway, 80, passed away at home, on September 7, 2022, after a three-year illness.  She was born on March 20, 1942, to Melvin & Evelyn Henderson. In 1959, she married Arthur Long Sr.  While raising her three children, Beverly earned a BA from Concordia College & Master’s Degree from St. Thomas University. She completed a very successful career in 2001 as a Kindergarten Teacher with the St. Paul Schools. After the death of her husband Arthur Sr, she married Nate Galloway in 2018.

Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by sisters and brothers, Marcelene Yacoub (Jacob), Melvin Henderson (Judy), Kahlila Fortune (Edgar), Kathy Jefferson (Robert), Kevin Henderson (Rose). Beverly’s three children: Arthur Long (Linda), Renee Morgan (Tracy), and David.  From that union seven beautiful grandchildren and ten beautiful great-grandchildren, plus many nieces & nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Pilgrim Baptist Church 732 W. Central Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104. Visitation at 9:30am; Service at 11am, Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please give to Pilgrim’s Youth Scholarship Program.
